OK...if you don't play trumpet, you may not be familiar with that name....BUT if you've been to the movies lately or watch TV and heard some screaming trumpet playing, then you've probably heard
Wayne Bergeron. He is the #1 call trumpet player in Los Angeles with a resume of hundreds of movies and TV shows including The Incredibles, Superman Returns, X-Men 3, Spiderman 2...and the list goes on and on.
Wayne also plays lead trumpet in the amazing Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band from LA. A Maynard Ferguson band alumni as well, Wayne now runs his own big band with two CD's to his credit.
I could go on and on but the exciting part is that
Wayne will be here in Denver Nov. 3rd to perform and clinic with MJO! Saturday Nov. 3rd at 2p he will hold a clinic (i.e Master Class) for any and all interested musicians and non-musicians (at Cherry Creek High School auditorium). Have the opportunity to ask questions, learn some techniques or learn about the business of playing for a living from one of the greats!
After that at 7p, Wayne will perform a concert with MJO featuring tunes from both his CD's. CDs will be on sale as well.
This is an opportunity you don't want to miss! While Denver has certainly had its share of great professional musicians in town, this is Wayne's first trip to Denver and is sure to be a fantastic and exciting day of music!
